Ex-minister of culture. Like the heroes of this film, he was left without parents early, for a long time did not believe in his father’s death and, until 16 years old, waited for his return; Like them, he was warmly treated by the teachers of the boarding school in which he was brought up. Nikolai Gubenko was born during the bombing in the catacombs of Odessa.
The first year of the war was going on. His father died at the front, never seeing his newborn son, and his mother was hanged in the year for refusing to cooperate with German invaders. Childhood in the boarding school hardened and disciplined the future actor and politics. Gubenko admits that the “monastic” regime, according to which he and his classmates lived, developed a strict approach to the time and the daily routine.
However, despite all the severity of the content, Gubenko already showed himself as a versatile and fascinated person. Childhood friends recall that, participating in a school orchestra, he kept changing tools, wanting to learn and master something new.
However, the institute was abolished in the year, and Gubenko had to choose a new profession. So he became an actor. First he worked at the Odessa Theater of a young spectator, and then went to study in Moscow. The fee for a poor student was fabulous - rubles a month; He did not know what to do with money - and decided to spend them on self -education: he took lessons from teachers of the circus school.
The skills of acrobatics, juggling, even walking along the wire were useful to Nikolai Gubenko in an acting career. Almost all of them were used in the film “The Last Croil”, however, many other roles of Gubenko demanded remarkable physical training. Nikolai Nikolaevich claims that there was no rivalry between them. The actors divided the repertoire among themselves, and outside the walls of the theater were engaged in completely different things: Vysotsky wrote poetry and songs, and Gubenko realized himself as a talented film director.
In the year, Gubenko’s first short film came out - “Nastasya and Fomka”. Three years later, the author removed the first full -length drama - “a soldier from the front came” based on the stories of Sergei Antonov. So it turned out that for the filming of the film “From the Life of Vacations”, the director went to the Mishor sanatorium for 24 days, and the “Forbidden Zone” was preparing the material for the drama, traveling on a bicycle along the Russian outback and writing down the people around him.
