But I have different and sometimes opposite ideas about the value of classical musical works with Gorbatov. So, I did not have to read with Gorbatov about his interest in the music of human passions, characteristic of the mass, Puccini and believe-priests. If his musical preferences are far from the love of the works of these composers, then we, accordingly, may have absolutely opposite views and judgments.

Now I will allow myself some comments on Gorbatov's article. Unfortunately, I had a similar idea throughout my life. Gorbatov's article originated in doubt, and this idea has changed somewhat, but not cool. My experience of listening to classical music, even before my future acquaintance with the symphonies of Maskovsky, allows me to formulate my present and future attitude towards him and his works: all the activities of the Russian composer Nikolai Myskovsky, related to the composition of musical works and his teaching activities, deserves the deepest respect and admiration.

But respect for the composer and his writings is a sufficient basis for a sophisticated music lover in order to suddenly become his admirer and surrender to the rejection of his 27 symphonies? But what about another music, life without which is simply unthinkable, and when comparisons, which are impossible to ignore, will always not in favor of Muscovsky's music?

Still, I managed to listen to some of the vocal works of Myaskovsky for a voice with f-no, who found themselves in my musical assembly. Madrigal, Op 7, on the verses of K. Contractor Natalya Spiller. Two romances for verses by E. Contractor - Maria Maksakova. Contractor - George Vinogradov. All vocal works are melodic. Madrigal performed by a spiller and romances performed by Maksakova and Vinogradov are good due to the excellent singing of performers.

But at the same time, the brightness of music and the expressiveness of execution play an important role. Or maybe quite the opposite? After all, when the jury is selected to make the right verdict, they try to have as little special knowledge as possible. Extensive musical erudition can only interfere with perception, because associative comparisons will always be not in favor of Muscovsky’s music. I will allow myself to object: there is no reason to hope for the implementation of this unconditionally good wish.

And the whole Soviet propaganda machine worked to popularize Shostakovich's works. In addition, the symphonies of Tyskovsky, in my opinion, are unsuitable for the musical business, and therefore none of the world's largest conductors showed any interest in them. But do not try to find sponsors himself and organize a special Philharmonic for the execution of the writings of the Wagner Bayrete?
