But after some time, I realized that I had to return home, help my mother. She worked as a teacher, she was not easy for her alone, I decided for myself that the family is more important. And you know, I am sure that it was the right choice. Construction picked up a real professional tool when he was still a student. We lived in a small district center in a private house.

There was no special money, my mother is a teacher, I am a student, came home for the weekend. I decided to block the roof myself. Mom took a short instruments from a neighbor, and he was a magnificent tin - he rattled not only throughout the area, but also throughout the region, he was very much appreciated. I began to make a roof. The first time I took up such a difficult work ...

I remember it was hard - I was tormented, tried, but I did it. When my mother began to return the instruments to the neighbor, he was offended-he said that, they say that you, a neighbor, invited some other specialist from another district to make a roof, not me. When she said that this was a son, he did not believe at first - he said that a young unprepared guy could not do that.

Then he was still surprised for a long time. I admit honestly - such an assessment of my first serious work was very important. Since then, I try to work - so that everything turns out excellent. I even managed to participate in the famous Soviet construction site at BAM-after the 4th year I went there in a construction team. We built the railway station in the village.

Then it was the outskirts of the city, we were sent to the forest - they probably thought that we would not build a house. And we took - and built. On the street. Today in our group of companies, architects work, we have our own design institute, a concrete plant, a window for the production of windows, and metal products. There is a well -maintained hostel for builders.It was noticeable when you worked as the deputy prime minister of the Government of the Kaliningrad Region-on the construction sites you could be found almost more often than in the office.

And I don’t sit in the office all the time, I work on construction sites, facilities, I spend meetings on the spot ... And it is always important for me to communicate with people, to find out what they think about a particular situation, to suggest somewhere, to share experience. Yes, I understood that then I would have to sit at night, view and study documents, but it is very important to feel how life goes at a construction site, and help people.

Probably, there were many such moments, but praising yourself is not entirely right. I especially remember the story of a large family from the Pravdinsky district. The mother of the family came to the reception with the little daughter, the rest of the children remained at home. She said that there was no work, the batteries were cut off, because there was nothing to live on, and now they are afraid to freeze in winter.

Should local authorities or management companies do the same? After all, this is the main thing - just a human attitude towards people, to their problems ... But the girl’s mother came up to me and said that after the warmth returned to them to the house, life got better - the father of the family got a job. In general, everything ended well. You can’t imagine how glad I was then. Of course, I really want everyone to have their own house in which it would be warm, comfortable and good for the whole family.

I propose to adopt a single law on social mortgage for employees of the budget sphere, simplify the federal program “Young Family”, and finalize legal mechanisms for assistance to equity holders. I also have developments regarding the new Law “On the Kaliningrad Region”, which is extremely important for our region. I want to initiate the adoption of the federal target program for support and reconstruction of historical buildings.
